Does anyone know the points requirements for each lvl on a weapon
 

Hey all,
I found the entry on the wiki that lists the points requirements for notoriety, but can't find any listing of points needed for each weapons level. Does anyone know or have this data?

Edit: These are from my level-up folder of screenshots.

I got myself mixed up. When your weapon is level 24, you can level up (5,300 points) but once it is mastered, it is mastered. So, there ya go. Found the last three, unambiguously.

Thanks a ton Edward. I've mastered 2 pirates, and 12 weapons/skills, and never bothered to try to figure out the points requirements!

Really never cared! But now I want to play with some numbers!

Thank you for the verification, Alex. It is good to have someone double-check the numbers I found. (I'm glad no one made me explain why level one is really level two. Not sure I even can - it is POTCO math.) 56,600 total points for each weapon, right?

56,600 per weapon. Counting Sail and Cannon, that's 8, times the total = 452, 800. Adding all the notoriety levels gets you 540,150. Subtracting the weapons from the notoriety, leaves 89,350.

Now for the mathematically challenged, (you know who you are) what this all means:

If you earned nothing but rep for the skills, it would leave you 89,350 short of level 40. It isn;t possible to master the weapons without earning dome gratis rep, but if you could, it would bring you to high level 37 Notoriety. Throwing in the rep you earn from visiting the NPC's just to get the weapons quests, and complete them, you reach low level 39 notoriety.

Throw in rep for the Jewelry, tattoo, and clothing quests, and the Skeleton infestation, and other small quests, you can reach level 40 notoriety without earning a single point from the Pearl quest!


It would be an intersting experiment! My littlest pirate, Lars, is now level 11, and has not visited Gibbs for the first time yet. The Pearl quest doesn't even show up in his journal. The problem here is that other quests make you visit Gibbs, and it will automatically assign the pearl quest, but I think I'm gonna try to get to level 40 Notoriety without ever recruiting even the first Pearl crew member!

It would be interesting to see if it can be done. Probably other snags you'll hit besides Joshamee...hard to guess at, though. Teleportation quests give rep, too, right?

My OFxZeppers pirate has done some of the Black Pearl Quest.
Just finished Gunner, and im already pushing level 38.
I didnt do any of the pearl quest until like level 35

Definately easier to do the quests... WAY... hehe

With Prob Lematic, I didn;t do any Pearl at all until level 32, then bounced between Pearl and Skills until I mastered. Hit level 40, not done with Gunner yet. That;s what made me want to find out if you could Master without doing ANY Pearl quest at all.
I think it can be done. Gonna give it a try with either Lars or Purvis! Will update this thread periodically just to let people know of progress.
