Easier Vodoo doll quest?
 
I decided to create my 4th character and upon reaching lvl 5, i went to Cuba to get my vodoo quest. I was suprised to find that as the first mission i had to get a couple of things including 2 pitch from ft chrls and 2 straw. Strange thing is, when i did this quest with other characters i had to get 10 straw and 10 pitch. Is disney becoming a little too generous? :piratetongueor4:

i think it is because it is avalibal to basic access now so it is easyer for them to get.

yeah but i was basic when i started in july and i got through it, with a bit of help from guild of course =)

When my sis what lvl 7 and got it she had easier quests like he said. When I got at lvl 9 i had like harder ones. Both were on unlimited access by the way.

hmm so maybe the lvl that you have affects the mission you get...never thought of that

i have no idea why they are making everything easier. Everything seems easier for my 2nd pirate now than when it was when I leveled my first pirate to 40. Crew bonuses used to be a flat 10%, not 20-50%.(although i am enjoying the ease of leveling my second, third, and fourth pirates) Level has nothing to do with it(or didnt before) because when i did the quest for my first pirate he was 5 and had to get 10 pitch and straw.

i think when they added the new clothing quest they updated the voddoo doll quest making it easier.

Makes ya wonder what's next. Gunner wants only a couple bottles of rum? John Smith wants only one rock crab for lunch? Officers and veterans removed from Kingshead for grenades quest? June Greer wants only one chicken? Giladoga needs only one key? Make the dig spot in Perdida visible one step away from the tunnel entrance? Make level 40 Urchinfists throw visible grenades instead of their "mystery attacks?" Instead of lvl 37 officers, we gonna have veterans on the colossus flag ship now? The Goliath gonna to start firing firebrand instead of explosive?

All those clever, difficult things that we love to complain about, are what makes the game fun. The great equalizer has always been that everyone has had to go through essentially the same amount of grief to get to any given point. Adding more things to make the game NOT have that equality, detracts from the game itself.

PvP and SvS need "everyone with same weapons and skills" options. If that hurts POTCO's sacred sense of inequity, they put them on separate servers and let game players decide which type of PvP/SvS they want to play.

But do stop sugar-coating the parts that were fun, mainly because they were hard.
