Do the Guards run away from you?

There's this glitch (obviously ;)) and like, everytime I try to fight a guard or soldier/ they just- be- gettin' on- :degen:- ma nerves- :degen:. Lol. I hit them with my sword and- BAM- they're Suddenly BEHIND/ ME! It it doesn't bloody make sense- could some one PLease tell me if they experience it too? Thanks.

And oh, by the way: if you DON'T agree, and if you DON'T like me posting things- DON'T COMMENT- it'll save alot of your time, and a lot of mine. Okay, thanks. xD :P lol

(P.S. stop the glitching guards PLEASE)

The enemy "personalities" are changed every now and then, to keep the game challenging and interesting. The voodoo/kung fu magic of appearing behind you, is fairly new, and, I agree, pretty annoying.

Happens to almost everything for me lol

Dr. Zeppers 09-05-2008 02:50 AM

Yes, this happens frequently to me.
I've chalked it up to the enemy gettin in their fighting position, once i've engaged them (wether it makes sense or not).

I always thought they were trying to get me to dance with them... but since I was never in the mood I just killed them instead heh :)

It is annoying, but i've come to just expecet it now, so after that first hit, I just start turning around ;) Seems to happen the most with cutlass and doll. The two you have to be the closest for. Maybe getting that close to them scares them and they jump back, lol.

aye happen all the time.

I've gotten to where I can judge the distance to first strike fairly well. So when I approach an enemy that is known to do this, I strike, then quickly back up to keep them in front of me.

Lol, yes, i just turn around to kill them. But..it's just so- bloody annoyin! haha.
Thanks for responding, guys. :)

Hmmm now with all the weapons, my experience is.. if the aim/target circle was red when I fired, I hit them (or at least get a response ie "MISS"). I've always thought it funny throwing a dagger and watching it still hit the guy as he walks like 20 'cyberfeet' to the right of where I aimed and fired, never knew dagger throws could curve, hehe. Now if they move while your aiming and your not on target when the shot goes off, thats another story. Takes practice. I've shot moving targets several times. :)

I found this same thing out by accident, for navy soldiers backing up 2 tiles seems to mostly keep the NPC in front of you. It's a minor annoyance compared to other things going on in the game.

What I really hate is when I'm fighting a navy soldier and they fall off an edge, or all of a sudden the laws of gravity no longer apply to them -.-

Yup i hate when this happens i be attackin a navy swine then he will suddenly run off into the sunset and i be left with no rep :(
