How about a PvP outside of PvP(explination inside)
 

I've never played runescape but I know there's PvP as in you can go at each other in the woods or something.

Why not have that in pirates?
I'd like to fight other players without waiting for a battle like ship PvP.
Why not have a small island just for that purpose? And your bounty goes up and what not. There's a small town and buildings. There's the woods and it's a very big island. You can hide and everything. But seriously I don't like waiting 30 minutes for a battle.

I really like this idea its similar to my ideas of different servers bc i dont want to go and scedule a pvp events and go to a separate area i just want it to "happen". Plus it makes it funner.

that was what i was thinking for the isla de la muerta. there are enemies outside, but if you go into the cave barbossa is looking down from a pile of gold like on devils anvil, and there is mayhem pvp all around the cave. all skeletons. all you have to do is click on the aztec chest to get started. if you just want to watch, dont click on it.

Hmmm . . . . . . perhaps a section of sea as well, say its full of storms and whirlpools, and no npc enemies, and the island can be in the center. Maybe in the tavern you can start a bar fight with people, then steal some of their money - last option for npc only -

A very interesting, and good, idea. I hate looking for somebody to PvP and ending up waiting over half and hour, only to either be paired up with a completly mastered level 40, or a level twenty levels under me. I would like to see and island like that, as all of the above have said. It would be nice to have a random every-man-for-himself-battle, let alone an entire island!
