Enemy Ship Map?

Hey everyone, does anyone know if there is a map somewhere that shows you the different areas where enemy ships are. If there isn't there should be because i'm allways doing quests where i have to sink ships or just plundering for fun and it would be helpfull to have a map to show you where the types of ships are.:piratewheelgo2::ss_pirate_ship:

They have been adjusted and moved about, so most documentation doesnt remain accurate as the months go by, there was a list here not long ago after the latest skeleton ships were added but I cant find it.

Any particular ships your looking for?

There are some behind Padres del Fuego I think.

Okay, here's my 2Cents on finding large ships =]
However, this only really works if you have an experienced Captain, as these areas can be pretty fatal for smaller ships with less experienced Captains.
(Credit goes to GraceWildRage for the actual map itself- I just re-coloured it =P)

Okay, so as you'll see I've hightlighted chunks of the map by Padres & Cuba.

The green bit- Unchartered Waters, since the update, has contained a lot of huge higher level ships, such as the Behometh & Ogre.

There is a large purple bit, this area contains lots of big ships, such as-
Predators, Corsairs, Storm Reapers, Revenants, MOWs & sometimes Ogres etc.

However, if you decide to go further out, into the pink area, Mariners' Reef, you'll come across huge ships, for example-
Dreadnoughts, Ogres, MOWs, Death Omens, Warlords, Juggys, Black Harbingers, Colossuses (or is it Colossi? Lol, well anyway) etc. & I think, if I'm not mistaken, the Flag Colossus sails around there too.
If you decide to go back behind Padres, you'll come across lots of Skeleton ships, mostly Storm Reapers, Death Omens & Black Harbingers, but the occasional Revenant & apparently, Juggernought, can be spotted there too.

However, what you'll find depends on the server you're on, I've sailed some servers without seeing a Dreadnought, & I've sailed others where I've seen two, & sometimes three at a time!

I'm not saying these large ships are limited to these areas either, this is just a popular place where they all seem to be.

For some of the smaller ships, that are harder to find-
Corvettes-
Around Driftwood-Rumrunners
Behind Port Royal
Around Kingshead

Barracudas-
Flag ship by Perdida
Around to the left of Padres.
Behind Port Royal

Marauders-
Around Padres-Port Royal
In front of Outcast

Sea Vipers-
Anywhere around Port Royal

Very good job with the details Jeena!

For now, the newest additions (Death Omen, Jugger, Behometh) seem to be concentrated along the edge of the map. I've been sighting Death Omens and Juggernaughts behind Perdida all day. Still have not run across a Behometh.

As for a permenent map? Not gonna happen. Seems every time there is a game update, the ship spawn spots change, too. Guess that's to keep us on our toes ;)

Wow, thx so much for such a great listing as to where to find certain ships. This Map and your explanation is very informative, to say the least.

You made my pirateering much happier, and easier!

Christopher Trueshot 08-28-2008 07:44 PM

Thanks Jeena and Sarah this info is perfect.(until next update lol)

icemage 08-28-2008 08:14 PM

I thought Juggernauts, Behemoths, and Death Omens were only in test server. Did they get released?

AR_FiberNeoPirate 08-28-2008 10:42 PM

Lol glad you guys liked it =]
I just thought, since I spend most of my time on Pirates sailing, that it would be useful for others if I shared what I knew. =]

Thanks for the map jeena its been very helpful so far

Thank you to Grace - what a brilliant idea to paste the map together! (File under: "DUH - I wish I'd a thought uh dat!") I guess she put this together a while ago, as Cuba hasn't yet moved, according to her map.

One thing that confuses people is that "Uncharted waters" is actually ALL the edges of the map, not any particular direction. All of the new "giant" ships are found in "uncharted waters."

The Colossus flag ship spawns just North of Outcast and sails to the green patch on the map above. A Corvette flag ship spans just West of Kingshead and sails to Outcast. A Sentinel flagship shares that Covette route. The Man-o-war flagship spawns just East of Kingshead and sails to Isla Cangrejos (and back.) The Kingfisher flagship spawns just West of Tortuga and sails to Isla Perdida. The Barracuda flagship spawns just South of Isla Perdida and sails to Cuba.

To this day, I don't understand why most NPC boats stay in one place. Boat sail along particular trade ROUTES. Hundreds of years ago, those routes were fairly well known / quasi-public information. Respawning a boat could be a matter of finding the first patch of ocean with no pirate ships nearby. That way, busy servers would get FEWER NPC boats, to encourage people to get onto quiet servers. Whoa...bit off topic. Anyhow, I still wish you could board every boat, not just flagships.

Thank you for the excellent map.
