Corpses?
 

Does anyone know where the corpses are? I need to get nightshade and bones from them. I found a grave yard, but didnt see any corpses.

i havent found these either yet but i did seee some higher level skeletons with some funny looking hats (level 12 i think?) i havent been able to defeat any yet though to see if that what they are - they were near the stumps on tortuga in the jungles/swamps

Yes, i've had those tasks. Just look for them by the graveyards. make sure you go to all of the seas to find them in the jungles of tortuga and pt royal. also you will find one by the graveyard on the island of isla perdida. there is a cave with a graveyard in the back. there is also usually one in the caves of pt royal by the guards. good luck...

When you see them, do they have the title of corpse? Or are they something else?

The "skeletons" will say Corpse on them. The thing I've noticed is sometimes you need to "coax" them a bit. The one I "camped" is located in the cave on Tortuga. Sometimes it spawns as a "carrion". Best thing to do is kill the carrion and hope it respawns as a "corpse".

There's another spot on Tortuga in the jungle if you've seen where the big plants are and there's kinda like a farm, near the farm one spawns (think right next to it infact, and if I remember there's an alligator with it). Again though, sometimes you need to kill the skeleton a few times to get the corpse one to spawn. I think that particular one spawns as something other then a carrion when it's not the corpse, forget what off-hand.

Make sure you've some "potions" on you, they enjoy setting fire to your character and other fiendish things. ;)

I saw a skeleton with the title "Corpse" on port royal somewhere in the jungle. There will be a cluster of trees in the middle where it looks like you can go two ways like a fork in the road. Inside the middle of these trees is a path and that is where I found the skeleton titled "Corpse". The "Corpse" definitely kept being recreated as a corpse so I just concentrated on him to finish my list. The "Corpse" is also not that far in from the entrance so you shouldn't have that far to go...

Unfortunately, I want back to Doc Grog and he says something but the quest still says "Return To Doc Grog". Doc Grog ended up saying "Don't get any of that on your hands, mate...At least not if your planning to lick your fingers". This was the last thing on my list since I was having trouble finding the "Corpse" and Josh Gibbs just keeps telling me to come back when I finished the quest...Ah Well!

Looks like we're all in the same boat. I have also completed the list for doc grog and all it says is "complete" and won't let me do anything else. Guess I'll work on skills and keep looking for the elusive "first mate".

I'm now a first mate, at least that's what my ranking was when I docked my ship. I wonder what happens if you sink me?

I don't know, but let's try it. maybe in PVP game or skirmish
