How to run two pirate accounts on one computer

Log into your first pirate account

Right click your taskbar and go to task manager

Go to the processes tab, right click the launcher ( Image Name/ Launcher1.exe, Description/ Toontown Launcher ) and end process

Then you can log in the next account

You can repeat these steps to add on more accounts

Have Fun!!!

Booted my first pirate with the message that somebody else was logging in on that account. Also didn't allow my second pirate to connect.

You cant log into the same account or it will kick you off.
If your talking about your second pirate on a seperate account, you just need to wait a min for it to load. It was probably a black screen for a min, thats how mine is anyway.

If we have more than one pirate in same account and want to play them all simultaneously on one computer here is what we should do:

1. Go to Disney POTCO Official website at www.piratesonline.com and log in using your account info. After log in choose MANAGE ACCOUNT.

2. Now we need a second account. If we don't have one just register for a new basic free account by choosing ADD A NEW ACCOUNT. If we already have one choose LINK AN ACCOUNT. Fill the forms and now we have two linked accounts.

3. Launch POTCO and log in using our main account info. Wait until the pirate selection screen appears. Switch to Windowed mode and lower down all graphics settings in Options and pick quiet ocean to avoid lag later.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to activate Windows Task Manager. Under Processes choose Launcher1.exe and click on End Process. Click Yes in confirmation window then close the Windows Task Manager window.
This procedure will allow us to launch a second POTCO on same computer.

4. Choose the first pirate character and click Play to enter the game.

5. Launch POTCO again but this time log in using our 2nd or free basic account. If both account are linked correctly then we should see a yellow/white arrow beside our username box (upper left corner of screen).

6. Click on that arrow and we will enter the pirate selection screen of our main account. Choose the second pirate character and click Play.
Now both pirates of same account are online at same time. I usually arrange the windows like this so i can control both easily but chat is a bit difficult to read.

7. In this pic below both of my pirates have same quest to get pirate lore from EITC corvettes so i just sail them both. One on helm while the other on cannon and both finish that quest faster.

I'm using an old computer (NOT Dual Core) with Windows XP and 1GB RAM yet still able to run 2 pirate with little lag but all graphic options are set to lowest.

We have a complete stickied guide on the subject of linking accounts. :)

How to link accounts

Personally, the fact you have to turn graphics all the way down on the game just kills it for me. The games graphics are cartoonish to begin with.

I... use two computers instead, and I can control them both at the same time. That is simultaneously, without changing windows. ;)

Ill add the thread killing trick to run both on same machine to my linking guide though, some will obviously want to do that.

Ironhawk, may I use your task manager image?

Sure Zep you can use it.
