i would like to know whens the next trivia game i never here anything abut it until its over

The Trivia is done through Live Chat there Swash... here some instructions on how to do it:

1) Go to the main page (use the link below)

POF Main Page

2) On the Main Page on the Left Side just under the Site Navigation Menu - you will see a Box called Live Private Chat

3) Type in your Username (Swashbuckler) intot he Box, then Click the Chat Now! Button

4) A Chat Window opens - and at the Very Bottom you can click on which "room" you want to Chat In - one of them is Pirate Trivia

(for more information here is the link on IRC Chat on the POF Wiki POF Chat IRC - you will also need Java installed, and if a warning appears you may have to click the Run Button).

*note - I'm not so good with IRC Chat - so someone else who does Trivia a lot may want to help fill in the blanks :)

how often do the scores reset?

every 3-6 months i think

also some other things you might need to know.

!Trivia starts the game if it isnt already started

!strivia Stops the game or if 3 questions go un-answered

!top10 shows you the top 10 trivia people

!choose lets you choose a catagory of chat

Just to add to what chris said...

Only an op can stop the game, so if you would like it stopped just let one of us know, and the game must be stopped to use the !choose command. Also, please make sure that if something happens and you do want to change it during a game that everyone playing (if there is anyone else besides you at the time) is in agreement to change the category before asking one of us to do so.

by the way why is there always maybe 5 people playing but they arent answering any questions or even trying

Most of the time, since joining through the Java chat puts you in multiple channels, the members in those channels don't actually play Pirates and are chatting in another channel. It could also be that those members just aren't there at the time so they can't play.

also what about the people who will answer a question ever 10-20 minutes what i dont understand is why every 10-20 minutes and not all the time or are they on another channel too just randomly checking the trivia channel ever few minutes

Yes and mods points dont count so every so often jack_i gets bored poofs in and answers 1 or 2 then poofs out.

If you see the username on the user list in chat, they are 'in' the channel, but may not be attending to it (paying attention), attending to some other channel they are also in. I change around and have answered a couple here and there before. :) Its the world of IRC chat.

Bored? LOL - as many channels as most of us are monitoring, plus forums, bored doesn't happen that often!

And, if by chance, Jack IS bored, I'm sure I can find some things to keep him bus... errr, entertain him. :laughks2:

Besides, who said I got bored? I just pop in now and again to make it so that you have someone to play against, even if it's only a few questions -.^
