I hate privateering...again
Ok soo i decided to give privateering another chance so i took my spanish war galleon :piratewheelgo2:and took on a war frigate. The war frigate was stopped in front of its island with its home field advantage so i didnt get too close. suddenly, i was losing major hull and nothing was hitting me! even my friend who sailed up next to me said he didt see anything hit me! anyways so when the frigate finally left dock we engaged in broadside combat and even though his cannonballs were missing me i was still losing hull!:mybadki6: i get REALLY ticked off by these glitches sometimes:skull:

i have noticed this recently too. my guess is that ships still sitting at port with the shields still on them are shooting lightning. Now lightning as you know can be shot a great distance. the ship i was on was taking damage so i had to sail out of range.
I haven't really noticed this out in the open sea so it must be a bug associated with ships still in port, protected, and we aren't seeing them shooting at us. the thing that is confusing is at this point in SvS is i would expect the bugs to start being fixed...not new ones like this popping up! |
I have noticed after last night's improvements, that one person can no longer repair multiple spots at the same time (HURRAY!) You can still repair while sailing, but that means you are not sailing solo. Since they seem to be keeping that odd behavior, I do wish that James Pidgeley would give one of his advice column things, describing it (that the owner of the boat has to take the wheel BACK from someone, to enable repairs while sailing.)
The delightful thing about last night's change, is that now ships that repair very fast, generally won't be firing so heavily. Likewise, those ships firing heavily, won't be repairing faster than I can sink them. This is absolutely a very, very good fix, so far. |
