throw out cargo

You should be able to throw out cargo you dont want like if you want nothing but royal chests you should be able to throw out cargo or treasure chest its just something that would make game better:12_1_138:

kinda like you have 2 treasure chest and 5 royal chest well you only wanna have royal chest then you throw out the 2 treasure chest then more room

nitnek 08-07-2008 11:08 AM

I lovvvvvvvee that idea !

davy redflint 08-07-2008 11:58 AM

Charlotte Grey 08-07-2008 06:16 PM

POTCO people should SO come to these forums. Then they'd actually get better ideas ;)

Sassy 08-07-2008 07:15 PM

um, throw it away? not me..

sink them, fill cargo til full, unload, repeat..

Dr. Zeppers 08-07-2008 07:51 PM

It would be more true to life, as im sure pirates when plundering would throw out less valuable goods to make room for more valuable goods should the need arise.

However, as I think about it, they likely did not, and would just start stacking it up on deck, in various cabins through the ship etc, as they headed to the nearest port. They were not limited to what the game said thier hold could actually hold like we are.

Instead perhaps a ship setting that indicates nothing under a certain value shall be stored in the hold. The problem with this is, although not regular. I've gotten more gold from a crate, than I have from a royal chest before.

sammyh 08-07-2008 11:35 PM

yes, spices or silk fromn a crate is more than emeralds. but still, money is money. and still, you get 80 gold at least from a royal and a 5% chance of that in a crate. :)

I think it would make it too easy to pull in full loads...people might quit going after the big ships because they have treasure sense and can randomly pull royals out of a Bulwark or something. Good idea in theory, but I think it would take away from gameplay.

sammyh 08-07-2008 11:51 PM

i have never pulled a royal out a bulwark, i pulled keith richards out of one, though! it was very entertaining to have him on me ship!!! arrggghhh!!! lol i heard some good songs that day. :)

I like it inventory editing

Chris 09-29-2008 08:49 PM

I am all for this idea i would get rid of anything that is not royal chests.

Yes i might throw away some gold bars but still even though now it doesnt matter since i maxed gold but if and when they raise the Gold cap then it will be usefull.

Edward Edgemenace 09-29-2008 10:20 PM

I'd much rather go on board every ship I sink. I'd like to have to search through all the lower compartments. And I'd like to choose which items I took back. Quest for Bartholemew? Fine, bring back the powder. Otherwise, OPEN the royal treasure chests and only bring them back if they have diamonds. :-)

Reaver 09-30-2008 12:16 PM

even better would be being able to see what the value of each item is then decide to toss or keep

tnt user 09-30-2008 04:31 PM

very useful idea,i'm in :)!

Dr. Zeppers 09-30-2008 07:05 PM

I've definately had a few cargo crates i'd like to throw overboard.

Visuallizing a sea of crates floating about...

New quest!! Cargo Salvage! hehe
