Chat help
 

I've tried and tried to change my chat settings so I can comunicate in game with out using the speed chat. So far I'm still unable to change anything *completly frustrated* I would like to talk freely with my friends......Someone, please help me!!!!

I hit "Enter" and the chat prompt pops up for me on the upper left. Then I type whatever - is that what you're looking for?

on the left side of the screen, there is the speed chat and the chat buttons, when I click on the chat button I get the prompt that states

"Your current chat settings do not allow chat. You can change you chat setting in the Accounts Options are of the Pirates Online web site"

However, everytime I got there, I'm told to go somewhere else. When you look at the FAQ's it says an adult will be able to change the settings for you....Well I am an adult and I'm still unable to change anything......*UGH!!!*

You may need to goto your DXD account and change it there. Believe it was located somewhere in the account settings in DXD. There was a thread in the general forums (I believe it was) that gave the steps to get there.

Thanks for your help. I have followed those steps, but as of yet I am still not able to chat with anyone ingame. :( I will try more later today, after I get home from work.

Perhaps due to an age setting you're disallowed free chat access?

No, it looks like this recent build has removed the free chat option for now.You'll have to hand over DXD codes to anyone you want to talk to in the game.

I thought that was the problem. :( Makes it a bit difficult to work cooperatively with random players as the canned chat system is very limited in scope and hard to use (at least for me).

I hope not, as I am an adult.......
