I have a few questions...
I have a few questions that maybe someone will be able to answer. BTW, I am a beta tester.
1) How do I train to use special cannon shots i.e the grape shot, chain shot, etc. etc. 2) Can I use a dagger or a voodoo doll right when I buy it, or do I have to go see Tia Dalma to train for the voodoo, and I wouldn't know where to go for dagger training. 3) How do I get additional skills to use with my cutlass? Do I have to get to a certain level of sword skill? 4) What advantage does my notoriety give me? I think the higher notoriety I have, the more health points I have. Am I correct? Thanks for any answers. |
in response to #2:
I just hit notoriety of 8 and now have a quest to have a dagger made for me and then I'll be taught how to use it. (I was told to go see Elizabeth Swann as soon as I hit 8 notoriety and that began the string of quests) in response to #3: My cutlass lvl is I believe 7/8 I've 3 "moves" that can chain and the special. So far nothing else has "opened up" for me to learn. As my skills increase more abilities have been opening up. Just be sure to hit "K" to cycle through and make sure you use those ponts if you've got them. :) in response to #4: Well I believe it is sort of a "level" indicator. I've noticed certain quests becoming available at different notoriety levels. And "mobs" tend to drop in "con" (grey, green, yellow, red) when my notoriety increases. Hope this helps and hopefully I've been accurate, it's getting late for me. :p Stay out of jail! -SH |
Thanks. Any more answers?

2) I got my dagger and doll before this silly training thing started up. I can never seem to find Tia Dalma again. 3) I'm level 6 Cutlass the skills I have are: Hack, 2 Combo Move, and Cleave (3 combo move, I got it at level 5) I also have the spinning attack all enemies move, and I had a chance to get a passive skill that gives me a 1% chance to parry (dodge) enemy attacks. I think skills open up as you get there precursers (SP?) to high enough levels, not just as you level up Cutlass. 4) I haven't check, but I think Notoriety does give you more health points. When I was level 5 notoriety I healed 10 damage per heal, but when I got to level 6 it was at level 20 - I guess so you don't spend forever trying to heal your higher health. Spandex  |

In reference to your #2: I found Tia in Cuba, yesterday. She won't speak to me, hoping maybe at notoriety of 10 she will. :) -SH |
In response to #5...yes it seems to me that your health goes up when you up your not. I think VooDoo does as well. I think I started at 50/50 and now I'm 56/56 at Not 6 I believe.
As far as healing faster when your Not. goes up... I've had to sit and wait around for my health to go up before I attack something else. So I've watched it. (Cuz I just love me some swordplay). I've noticed that after taking damage you initially heal slowly. You go up only 1-3 points right when you start to heal. But the more you stand around healing, the faster it gets. So by the time you're hitting green again you're leaping up faster and at 10-20 per leap. |
the hit point system in this game is pretty much like most other MMO's as your toon lv goes up so does your magic and health.or voodoo in this game.. and I noticed too that since theree is no sit command standing around or going in a building will heal you a lot quicker..
