Need Help Leveling My Notoriety level.
 

Hi this is my second thread and i need a little help leveling up my notoriety level. I am a level 8. I have a cutlass, pistol, and voodoo doll ( thanks to OFxZeppers). any ideas?:piratealt:

I personally like to use Fort Charles on Port Royal.

Before I got unlimited access, I levelled up my weapons and notoriety there because I had nothing better to do ^^;

But quests give you more notoriety, especially Black Pearl.

hmm well dont do the black pearl quest bc it give good noto but then your weapons are left behind and weak for your noto and this will cause alot of problem in the future.

as for leveling try fort charles lots of people here and it can get crowded but an even better place and this is where i got all my weapons from 1-10 if the tortuga graveyard hardly anyone trains here and they range from 1-12 with some witchdoctors and since they are undeads you can lvl pistol there too!

Ooh, good! I'd been unlimited access, you know, up to level 20. Now I can use my pistol and voodoo doll and everything to level up!!! before I get my next card, that is.

Thieves Den is a pretty good place with other people at about lvl 10.

is there any easy way to level up once you've completed all of the main quest (the black pearl)? I am at 99% haven't even tried the boss battle yet because I don't have a crew that is high enough level...I'm only a level 26 and am finding it very hard to gain notoriety now. I am trying to go through to do all of the side-quests now, but they only give 100 each time and when you need 16000+ before your next level increase, that's a lot!

A lot is when you need 36000+ for level 37 - or 40600 for Pirate Master 40 (I only wish I had to do 16000 LOL :D)

At your level - it is time for you to go to Padres Beach, get your gun and hex Gyps away. After they are 'Hexed', use weapons you want to level up against them as they cannot attack back (for even more REP - try using low level attacks on each weapon, like braw and taunt on Cutlass, Poke and Curse on Doll, and more than one weapon).

Of course - you need Hex Shot on your Pistol - so be sure to Level it to get Hex First if you do not have it yet (and by now all weapons should be almost equal to each other - if one is way behind the others - put more focus on that weapon once you start Hexing the Gyps in you weapon rotation).

I've found many useful posts already on this topic. Most of them basicly boil down to using your least damaging skills to attack and to resist spending your skill points right away on your weapons. The longer it takes for you to defeat an enemy, the better your noto will end up. It also helps to use different weapons and attacks. Check out Ironhawk's Rep chart and guide. It's pretty helpful.

As long as you are going to Padres beach get quests for gypsys or raiders from Josie and Johnny and earn some extra gold.
