apparently i am just not getting how to post a picture. it can't be that hard!

I've tried "approved" hosting sites and this pic i just tried to include i grabbed from my gallery here.

I keep getting the blasted red X.

can someone pm me or send me the discussion thread again on posting screenshots.

You're doing everything right, but you have the wrong link to the picture is all. The [IMG] tag requires a direct link to a photo. Take the link you posted above and open it, notice that below the picture there are a couple of links in the section titled "Additional Info". Copy the one next to "UBBCode:" (use the copy to clipboard button if you please). Paste that into your post and you're set to go:

If you already have a direct link to the image, just surround the URL with the [IMG][/IMG] tags.
