Will and the cutlass
 

I can't seem to get past the first task, very frustrating. I go to Will he gives me the cutlass, I do the slash combo, then it says to work on Sweep, but I have no Sweep button in my K/skills menu. I turn back to Will and he is standing there arms outstretched frozen. I jump up to him, bump him, nothing. I leave building, turn around come back in, whole darn game shuts down. Ugh. This happens over and over on my 2 different characters. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

not sure I know that when I right-clicked sweep is right there highlight it then release mouse button,. also try hitting f1 then hit again to pull your cutlass back out and then check for the command.. other than that you toon might be bugged delte him and start again... welcome to beta lol

make sure you bring up the skills page and in the cutlass tab spend the point you got from the skillup on the new sweeping attack or you can't use it.

Ok, went back and tried again to figure out what was going on. I was unable to see the SWEEP icon in order to "purchase" it. I just started randomly clicking around the skills screen and when I clicked in the circle at about 10 o'clock, there it showed up. Go figure.
I also seem to not be able to see other ships at times. I went out and manned a cannon for the first time today but while others could see an enemy ship I just saw ocean. I don't think they were playing a trick on me because I did get gold at the end.
I sent both "bugs" in but I don't expect a reply.

I went through that training with my current char. I got the rusty cutlass, as I have done about 10 times before with other various characters.

I got to buy an iron cutlass and it says "Need cutlass training". It ways that for the rusty, also.

So I go back to his place and he is not there. I assume they took them out unless your quest demans they are there to cut down on screenshots released to the public. But it dosn't help me at all.

Any solutions?
