Repairing in Ship Privateering

Yeah so they finally released ship privateering, and I found these repair spots.

The thing is.. how do you repair!?

Thanks.

I heard some of the other captains talking that their ship repaired automatically when the sunk an enemy ship. I didn't have any damage to mine at the time, but that is what they said.

I only played for a few minutes today though.

Yep, it seems after you have reached some milestones in the amount of ship you sink, your ship gets a boost in health. Like after you sink 5 ships, a boost, 10 ships, another boost, 15 ships, another increase in health, etcs.

you need to be the captain (or the one at the helm) and quit sailing and run over to the repari spot. The familiar green cirlce will appear so press shift.

As you hammer away you will see the ships health slowly get better. i would start repairing the ship in the area that has taken the most damge.

If someone else happens to take the helm while you are doing this the repair process will stop. This was very frustrating for me last night and i apparently could not get that point across to my only crew member.

while repairing though you are still fair game so make sure you sail off a good distance from the action to get your repairs done!

Well I dont think you have to be the captain of the ship to do repairs. I was in crew and I repaired one side of the ship and the captain repaired the other side. I just hit the shift key and I started hammering away! LOL

No no, but the Captain of the ship (the person at the Ships Wheel sailing - doesnt have to be the ships owner) must step away from the Ships wheel and no one can take the Wheel during repairs (hence they bcoem Captain by doing so and it stops all repairs). :)
