Log in for every visit *Merged*
 

Since yesterday everytime i visit POF i have to log in to this site.
I checked the "Remember Me" box everytime i log in but useless i still
have to log in again everytime i come to this forum.
I keep the forum window open but after sometime i still
have to log in again when i want to post something.
This never happened to me before.
I put POF site in the list under Internet Options>Privacy>Sites
so all cookies from here are always accepted in my computer.
What's wrong? Is it my computer or a bug in the forum?
Can someone help me? Thanks.

This is just my guess, Bat or Nick would have to clarify it, but I think it might be an issue with last night's vBulliten update. I've been having the same problem about logging out at random times and when I log in too (remember me is checked here as well).

Yea last nigth i was logged out i havent been logged out in over 3-6 months :laughks2::laughks2:

Nick did update vB. Nothing major. Mostly security updates and minor fixes. It might cause some of you to have to relogin today.

If you are constantly being logged out, your cookie may have been corrupted. Just log out of the forums and log back in. This should clear your old cookie and set a brand new cookie.

it used to save your login info not i see its not why if i check the save login it still dont.

save any info.

This is likely an issue with security/privacy/cookies etc on your system / internet browser.
You might try clearing your cookies.


Remembers me just fine :)

Something like a week ago I had to log in again, and noticed the automatic login box wasn't checked anymore. After checking that again I haven't had any other problems. Perhaps try unchecking it again, logging out and trying to check it again. Perhaps have to list it so a firewall will let it through too, hard to say.

I don't have to log in every time I come here. Of course I don't close it out very often. I am always here reading up on all the helpful hints!! :bookishfj7:

Clear your internet cache and check your cookie settings

Ok, to avoid any further confusion.

If you check the Remember Me option when you log in, it should remember you on your next visit.
It does this using cookies.
If POF is reset, then it may often require a user to re-login upon thier next visit, so this happens occasionally even when you had Remember Me checked.

If your logging in, checking Remember Me option, and it is still not remembering you at all on follow up visits, then it is likely an issue with the local browser/system and/or cookies/security. First thing I would do would be to simply clear my cookies and browser cache (Temporary Internet Files).

if your security settings are set to block all cookies then that would be the problem all you have to do is set it to allow cookies but make sure to run your virus checker often to remove bad cookies that other sites set
