I'm having a devil of a time finding the key that opens the desk in Fort Dundee. Is this just a random number generator issue or is it actually in a particular storage container?

Its getting to be annoying for me to wander around and I can only search them once.

Well, Im pretty sure they are random. I would keep trying. :)
Danellle had to go through about 20 guards to finally retrieve the tongs, and she finally got it.
Sometimes they make the quests tricky, so make sure you read every detail! ;)

Thanks Amelia, I did this one on Michael Wildwood, now I'm using Peter o'steel. I just forgot if it has a specific local.

Im pretty sure its random, you may even be able to re-search containers you've already tried (but I dont remember it ever letting me do that).

At least once your sent to the desk... you know right where to find it! ;)

You can re-search the containers if you switch servers.

Remember that if you are interrupted in your search, you have to search that container again.

that's why it's always good to go with friends, they distract the enemy while you search the containers :)
