Treasure Sense
 

How does treasure sense work? Does it improve the cargo plundered only if the one sailing has it? I was sailing with guild mates, one of which maxed treasure sense and we were getting nothing but cargo and a few treasure chests. Then when she came on, and was on cannon, immediately we started getting royals almost every ship. Is this mere coincidence or does it take effect when ever u r sailing?

Works when you are on the wheel. It's best to friend with someone with the points and sail with them in my opinion, and not to invest the points yourself.

Gold is hard to come by at first, that treasure sense lures you in, then your level 30+ gold's pretty easy to get, and your wishing those points were somewhere else........

So it was just a nice coincidence that we started getting royals as soon as our maxed TS guild mate jumped on?

I think it's either the ship's owner or driver that applies.

Disney hasn't said, so there's a lot of speculation. I put one point into it, and it seemed to give me more royals than I used to get.

I have one point in it and I crew up with random people all the time. I've noticed when with player that don't have the option and we're on their ship that we still pull in normal cargo. I'll go out with the same crew with my ship and we'll pull in a couple of royals. I was on a ship of a captain with full treasure sense and we were bringing in 10 royals at a time. This was even when we were on his ship and he wasn't at the helm. So from my experience, I would say you need to use one of your ships...even if you're on the cannon. Then again, I could be totally wrong and have wasted your time by making you read this.

Treasuresense works. Now I havent paid that close of attention to 'what' it was I was getting off the ships with my pirate with full treasuresense, but I do know the pay offs were definately higher.

As far as who has to have it to make take benefit of it, this definately is a bit up in the air. It always seemed to me that it was dependant upon who was at the helm, but I never paid that close of attention. I dont remember it helping much when I was crewed up with people and just manning a cannon.

Random questiong but what is Treasuresense... never heard of it

Treasure sense is a sailing skill u get at lv 14 sailing. It increases the value of cargo drops, or increases the chance of getting better plunder anyway when u sink ships

Just as observations, I view it as a combo.

There are several conditions, though that seemed to change some a few patches back. Ships like the colossus flag ship had a better chance of royals versus small level ships. EITC ships seem to be on a lower tear, though I have not done bad on sloops.

Higher level chests seem to drop if crew members have treasure sense and firing on ships you are sinking.

As stated before, its not worth the points if you can be patient a bit longer to buy your new ship. Eventually you have points in something you don't need with max money you can hold.

Truthfully, with cheating in gambling you can build what ever cash you need.
