for privateering you should get a new ship. here are ideas for the kind of ships.

french: schooner, pros:speedy manuverable, medium amount of cannons
cons:weak hull sword double rep
spanish: galleon, pros and cons same as now sword double rep

chinese: junk, pros: speedy, front cannons cons: weak, small cargo space
spear as a weapon
american: frigate, pros and cons same as now. rapier sword upgrade


corsair: galley pros: med speed cons low cargo and cannons and pistol double rep

india: sloop, pros and cons same as now. voodoo doll and staff double rep

i did this because i dont want any war frigates vs light sloops. and i added more sides. they can all have islands or sas they control. we could have totems to go to the south and north china seas, the mediterranian, indian, pacific, english waters, boss batte arena, atlantic, around mexico(isla de muerta could be there) florida(fountain of youth could be there) and stuff like that.

also there could be davy jones territory behind tormenta that could have sea monsters, dutchman, kraken, isla cruces and a shipwreck outside tormenta where you could get davy jones to complete a quest(two non story or one story quest) but then he would give you a quest that was hard as or harder than the one he completed. if you didnt do that quest in one logged in hour then you would have to serve on his ship for three logged in hours or until you beat him in pirates dice.:piratewheelgo2:

It'd be an interesting concept somewhat to allow for naval arneas as it were, with different types of combat, but that'd be quite a change. I'd love for the 3 new kinds of ships definetly, though I think the sides should be empirical, like French and Spanish . A British fleet would be a plausible new side and a cool thing to join though, and it'd would be cool to be able to use the ships you named as a benefit unique to the side you chose.

I like this idea sort of. I want to see new ships. I don't know if I would use them just for privateering though. It could be a good reason to bring in new ships when privateering goes live but I think you should use these ships when every you see fit.

The more ships their are the more people will begin to become different you will see different ships. Most people all use Galleons because it's a great amount of awesomeness. So if you can make all ships worth their salt it'd be awesome to see more unique players.
