Free Chat (Parental Control Functions)
 

Ive seen people type in numbers or anything in the chat bar.. well i cant do that:sadmh9:. Can somebody please tell me how too.

If you have parental controls on then that is why you cant type numbers. Also in the chat line next to the skeleton head there if the plus is on you cant type numbers and misspelled words as well. Its part of parental controls too.

how do u shut off parental controls

I had to log into the account from the disney pirates website, not the game. Then you have to go into parental controls and change the chat options. If you signed up a kid first, you may have to create a linked parent account. I had to log into the parent account to change things.

Be aware that all 4 characters on the account will have free chat. If you have young ones playing, you will want to go over internet safety and general concepts of what is and is not appropriate. I found that my little one knew what the worst stuff was, but he didn't understand some basic internet etiquette.

If you're account is not under parental controls, you can click on the little plus sign next to the box where you type and turn it off. The plus sign actually stands for Chat Plus, which is supposed to be a faster way to type. It's supposed to recognize the words you're using and insert them, and to also alert you when you've misspelled something or entered something that may not be Disney correct.

how do i turn off parentel contorls. once it let me go on it but then it stopped. someone pls tell me

Just moving the post to Computer Tech Support - as it is an Option of the Game Settings.

As for turning them off - I'm unsure since I have never hae them turned on... but I know several here have had to deal with the issue so I'm sure someone will post an answer soon :)
