Gold name equals lots of gold, errr, no
 

I know the meanings of the different colored names has been posted before but...
For the past 2 weeks, I have had several people walk up to me and ask me for gold. So, today I finally asked why. The response I got was, "you have a gold name so that means you have a lot of gold."
Ahhhh, no. Usually I'm broke, lol. Too much shopping in the pirate boutiques.
The gold name means we pre-ordered the game before launch (Oct 31) thru December 2. I still like to think of us all as beta testers though :)

LOL! That's a new one to me, and i get asked about my gold name a lot!

BTW Cat, we need to get Anne and Anne together....that would confuse the heck out of em!

I have a Bonnie Anne to go with my husband's Klyde. That is all, just excited to share my similar name. Bonnie and Klyde, and Anne Bonney.. I killing two birds with one stone..

I had the question about what the gold name meant, and asked a few times when I first joined, noone would answer me though, I found out here on POF.

I always get people coming up to me and asking me about that. Usually, they say "WOW LOOK A STAFF MEMBER OMG!" and I have to sit there for 5 minutes explaining I'm not a staff member XD

I can't remember who said it here, (sorry) but I use this line now... "I'm an in game mod, watching your every move, BEHAVE yourself"

I love it! Usually I wind up doing the 5 minute explanation thing as well.

Whats the point though... Youre not lik its goin to really matter to them anyway..

Well, you never know. Maybe it will. You learn by asking questions. I am still learning new things about the game and I've been playing for over a year.

Plus, sometimes it's fun to meet new people this way.

Geez, I thought the gold names were people who were over level 40. Seems they're the only ones I've seen with a gold name.
