"Please don't attune me"
 

Is there any reason why someone wouldn't want you to attune them? I was running through Cutthroat Island last night and stopped to heal some guy and his friend who was nearing death fighting a few undead. After I got to the other side of the island I realized that he had asked me not to attune him. I thought it was a strange request and wondered if anyone here would know the reason.

Dunno, maybe his friend had him attuned and was doing all the healing and he wanted his friend to get the healing rep. He might have been near death waiting for the heal to recharge.

I don't know. Some people are persnickety.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought too, either he was being grouchy or didn't want to share Notoriety. Either way it's just strange since I would've only gotten maybe a point or two from what they were fighting since it was grey to me and I only healed him once :\

I welcome all healing. I try to return the favor too.
I can't imagine why someone would not want it.

Maybe the guy just has a crappy computer and the actual attune animation under the pirates feet slowed his computer down and lagged it too much. My computer has wierd issues like that....wish I had more ram and a better graphics card.

Wow that would be sad to not be able to get help because of a hamster-driven computer. Sorry about that. :)

idk pretty odd i just hate it when random people attune me and heal me when im standing around in like a store and i clearly dont need healing

I've had that happen to me. I figured they had just gotten their new dolly and were probably attuning everything in sight.

lol makes sense but have u ever attuned that dumb staw doll out side of will turners warehouse its weird lol

There are times when I've been trying to get my pirate to die deliberately and not wanted to be healed. And I hate being attuned if I'm about to tp someplace, 'cause if they don't unattune you, you get stuck with that circle around your feet.

I've actually been unable to TP a couple of times because I was attuned; it thought I was in battle...

aye the curse circle around ur feet, should wear order eater or somthin lol

...perhaps it itches a little? ..... Maybe he's insecure that his tough actin' Tinactin ain't working?....
