Microsoft does not include Java in its later releases of its products - but you can get Java from java.com and once installed intergrates with the browser to show Java Apps. :)

Seriously?!!??! OMG... that is annoying. :mybadki6: That would explain a lot. *runs off to add java to the list of things to put back on computers that needed to be completely wiped* :piratear:

I just got a new computer with Vista about 2 weeks ago and it had Java on it...

Well when creating our Guild Site - I run a Java Box on the right side which scrolls information. This script I've used on several of my game sites but had not used it recently.

When I put the script in this time... it did not work. I had to go to Java and install the option. Then several (but not all) members also could not see the box, so they too had to install Java.

Though I do not have the article (some time ago now), Microsoft mentions that they would stop the inclusion of Java, but I think what happens for many is they go to a site which requires it and it automatically 'asks you to install the app' and many do without knowing they just installed Java. But some of us not visiting any page up to that point would need to install it...

This of course is a shot in the dark - and his issue could be totally different :D
