Insane Rep
 

I have gotten over 350 rep with a single kill and i didnt even get a crew bonus. I went to tormenta at lv 27 and hexed a molusk lv 38. I used every weapon i had and got in a good amount of hits with each. lol if i had a crew bonus is would easily have been around 500 or better.

i have a quick question: if i were to use my sword on an enemy, then switch to gun, would both get an equal amount of Rep?

Probably not. Rep depends on the number of hits and how many skill points you put in the attacks that you use. So your pistol rep would only be based on the hits you give with your pistol, etc.

Yes they would. As long as you use a weapon, it gets rep. The 350 rep Pete's talking about is all the combined rep from his weapons. That 350 goes to his notoriety, but maybe only 100 goes to pistol, 50 to cutlass, 100 to doll, and 100 more to grenades.

I do this all the time. The trick is to use the least powerful attacks on your target. Sword has the 2&3 shot that do very lil damage and if you get it in rotation, you can jsut keep doing it when it recharges in between other weapons. Gun the Skelly shot works great on living things for max reps and living shot on skellys for max. Doll, chain and curse (scortch too if you didnt skill it up alot). Dagger is alot of throw dirt (or 1&2 if you have a higher lvl enemy). Nades is smoke bombs. Staff, Banish on living. Using all weapons with one crew, you can get 720 reps.

Ive gotten 600 reps on one stump, only cause my Nades were already mastered.

This guide assumes the pirate has 1 skill point in each skill and under notoriety level 35





Choose a Molusk or Brinescum, Molusks work best.



To Gain 100 rep for each skill use the following attacks:





Cutlass – 6 sweeps, brawls and taunts

Pistol – 30 silver bullets

Doll – 3 curses and shackles

Dagger – 9 asps, adders and throw dirts

Grenade – 25 smoke bombs

Staff – 6 banishes



If you were able to do all of these attacks on a single creature, you could get close to 600 rep. More if you are in a crew. But most likely the creature will be dead before you can use all of these. So on each monster, choose what weapons you want max rep for.

do u have to do it even when some weapons r mastered?

for the sword and dagger is it 6 sweeps 6 brawls 6 taunts and 9 asps 9 adders and 9 throw dirt

i am lvl 15 what is a good way to do this when i am lvl 15?

sammy - just leave out the weapons you dont have in the rotation, and increase the numbers a bit for each weapon you do have... its no 600, but each weapon will pull in its own weight with some practice :)

Also, just be prepared...this can take a while. :laughks2: Be patient and the rep will come. As Angel said above, you want to use your weakest attacks - no combos, no blade storm, no fully maxed swarm, nothing like that. Just hack, poke and blast away, mistime everything. You'll figure out what works best for your particular pirate. Keep in mind, more hits = more rep. So just go at it and good luck.

Without crew bonus...

The maximum reps a single mob can possible reward is 100 PER weapon.

If you attack a mob with all your weapons, and with adequate number of attack combos per weapon, then you can get up to 600 reps (100 per each weapon).

I always switch up weapons on real high levels to increase overall reps, and spread them across my weapons a bit.
