New tattoo and jewlery quests?
 

Does anyone think that the tattoo and jewlery quests are a little difficult?
They weren't that bad, but at the time I was having a glitch where I could not go into the jungles or swamps without getting an error from my computer, which made me laggy.

The only part I found difficult (or just took a long time) was finding the Marauder that had Soloman's Family Heirlooms on it.

i think they are pretty easy

Bloody annoying me thinks would be a better term for them

Getting almost any specific ship is now tougher since the new updates. Even the Bulwarks are starting to get scarce. I went looking for a marauder last night and seemed to be surrounded by light sloops. Nothing bigger for ages.

I agree, the maruader had me searching the seven seas.
I think they should make a server for higher levels. (Not that im anywhere near mastering my pirate, but still!)

Or when we have to sink 10 marauders, 10 vettes etc etc, they should count them when we sink them. Not make us sink 100 of them to count 20!

I found something else out, in regards to the limit of 4 tattoos, and the tattoo quests.
One of my pirates tested out what happens if you already have a number of tattoos in your possession when you do the quests.

It awards them, I have one arm with 5 possible tattoos to select from, and another with 6! I have 2 pages to select from for each.
However I still cannot purchase any more, because I have more than 4 total. Also, it lets me "sell" my quested tattoos now, but gives me "0" for them.


I also noticed that it marked my special event (purchased) tattoos, as "quest" also (although I get gold back for them if i sell them). My Mothers Day tat's are all marked "quest" now.

A little off topic perhaps, but if you all want to keep the quested tattoos... buy all the purchaseable tattoos you can, before you quest. :)

Is there a list and locations for all the available tatoo and jewelry quests? I have done some, but can't remember which places I haven't looked.......

Tat & jewelry stores on all major islands (not sure about France & Spain) except no jeweler on Cuba. I find them all a bit much to do for a bling I turn around and sell.

I found there were 2 quests available accordingly

Port Royal - Tattoo - Soloman - 2 quests
Tortuga - Tattoo - Lola - 2 quests
PDF - Tattoo - Mercedes Corazon - 2 Quests

Port Royal - Jewerly - Smittys - 2 quests (1 from daugher up front, 1 from smitty)
Tortuga - Jewlery - Ding Ming? lol forgot his name. - 2 quests
PDF - Jewelry - Perla Alota - 2 quests

Those were all that I was able to find. Found none at Padres Beach merchants. Have not investigated the French/Spanish merchants, but the one time I looked around, I dont believe there were any additional quests made available. The Dev Notes, indicated Olinda Juene's "Skeleton Infestation" quest was the only one added at that time.

Yes the marauder quest was miserable.

Running around digging up Padres was pretty bad too.

Wish they'd let me sell off some of those tats as I would never wear them.

I finally found the maurader with the Personal effects or whatever it was, I was looking for ;) I started that quest ("maurader Hunt") over a month ago! sank lots of them but never the right one! Maybe since there seem to be fewer, the quest items come up more often? anyway glad to have that one closed and off my list :laughks2:

I think they revamped it to be random.. One day hunting, I just happened to be solo and parked my boat to gain cannon rep. Killed a cuda, then a few minutes later an Ironwell spawned near me. Took it out quickly, then in that same spot a cuda spawned. Well, killed it and a marauder popped up. Tested this out, and it works with Navy and ghost ships as well..
