In truth, you obtain various Notoriety rewards as you complete various stages of the quest, and the reps/gold earned while doing the quest.
Nothing more.

You get 100 reps per quest finished and I think at the very last turn-in you get 1200 reps. I havent done past the last of the ships myself. Pacing my pirates since Id have nothing else to do.

Complete walkthrough. You just get 1000 notoriety at the end.
