I would rather they add some of the places related to the movies, singapore (was mentioned for example). I dont think Florida or Mexico would fall into the story line. But neither do the french and spanish so... what do I know?

I dont think they should add them. I dont see any Undead or stumps walkin around Mexico or Florida....

I've made MANY a trip to St. Augustine, FL. for pirate plunder. Pirate legends abound there. As does the Aqua de Vida.

the only other islands osociated with potc1,2,3 were isla de merta, isla de pelegostos, singapore, isla cruises, the island with dead kraken in worlds end, shipreck island, and the sand bar at the end before maelstrom (could be outcast) ,

Yes, I think they should add them, but also focus on movie-related ports.
(Imagine, they have a Florida, and you can go to WDW and ride POTC!!!)
