Best Cutlass Brawl, Mixed Or No Brawl Based Leveling
If yer gonna put 5 points in brawl take skill points that put damage on the enemy as fast as possible like the advanced combos BUT by taking 5 in brawl you are relegating yourself to kicking butt on 1 to 1 fights and suffereing by loss of slash points in big fights. Think of how your fights tend to go after lvl 25 in cutlass. Lots of 1 to 1 or larger group melee. Brawl good if maxed or at 4 pts otherwise dont use at all. Good vs PvP high powered enemy or like I said 1 to 1 vs anything. You could take 5 in slash as well but I cant remember how many times parry helps regardless of its only 10% maxed. It works more like 20% of the time for some reason. Maxed Brawl on 1 to 1 is devastating you WILL dominate but slash sooo usefull as well.
Here is a decent "I want the best of both worlds" build: Hack 1 Slash 1 Flourish 5 Thrust 2 Sweep 3 Taunt 1 Brawl 4 Bladestorm 3 Parry 5. Here is the Brawl based build: Hack 1 Slash 1 Flourish 5 Thrust 4 Sweep 1 Taunt 1 Brawl 5 Parry 5 Bladestorm 2. Here is the no brawl general build: Hack 1 Slash 1 Flourish 5 Thrust 4 Sweep 5 Taunt 1 Bladestorm 3 Parry 5 (swap a point with thrust and bladestorm if you like). Also, if you are a big Cutlass user, max Dagger's finesse and Blade Instinct. Anyway, Parry is not the "end all - be all" but it helps a LOT more than you might think. Also, for quick weapon leveling, please dont put a bunch of points at once into any non-passive skill unless you prefer taking on a larger quantity (of enemies) over quality of weapon rep rewards. This does not apply as much after you max a weapon, by all means dump those points. If ya wanna dump parry, place points in combos if brawl based and put more points in stormblade if not using brawl. |
Wow, sorry Im having a hard time reading that. Not quite sure what your trying to say either? Brawl is good for reps Ive found but nothing really useful after that.

Its three builds based on brawl, mixed or no brawl. Not sure how much clearer the title needs to be. Brawl will take the enemy out of the fight for a long time if 4 or 5. Its simply an option based on play style. You can classify it as nothing usefull beyond reps but it helps tremendously while the enemy (PvE or PvP) simply stands there while you whack away.

It seems then it will only be good (if outtin 4-5 points on it) for a fast kill and less reps. How long is the stun duration?

Grammar, punctuation, paragraphs: these are your friends. Personally, I just put one point in Brawl. It takes too long for the cooldown timer to cycle for me to justify spending more. |
Jeez, tough crowd today
The duration is 10 seconds maxed. Thats a looong time in a fight, especially when the opponent cannot move or do anything. Also, there other ways to go of course and they were described as being mixed or no brawl. ps. I will make the format and flow better next time - yikes |
Yeah, thats what I was saying it was hard to read. Almost like one constant run on sentence. Your theory makes sense, but I dont know if I want to waste skill points on that unless Im going after a "higher than I can handle" enemy. Then once he wakes up you have to kill him fast.
ONce the 10 secs is up, how much longer do u have for the stun to recharge? |
The cool down is 1 minute standard
It lasts 45 seconds with finesse maxed. |
