What a difference a graphics change makes
 

So ive been playing for a couple of months now and never really explored the options before, except to turn tha annoying music off. Now last night i changed my graphics settings all to high and shadows rendered, the whole shibang, logged off and came back on this morning pretty much seeing a whole new look of POTCO.

At sea the sky didnt look stupid, it actually stayed night sky whilst i was out at sea, wood was flying off ships, weapons have sparks and explosions, and the coolest thing was the green smoke the undead evaporate into when theyre killed, or appear from when they respawn.

For anyone who is unfortunate enough to still have their settings on default i recomend (if you can) to change all graphics to high, it looks really good.

I will on occasion turn all graphics up. But not verry often. It makes me lag like H-E-double hockey sticks.

I keep all the eye candy turned on.

I did a long-overdue upgrade on my system a couple months before I started playing, and it's been able to handle it just fine.

Good point about how the game looks like with the graphics turned to high! I bought my Mac Pro 3GHZ 8-core just for running multiple things at once, the Mac Pro with it's top of the line graphics card (ok, not as top as the Windows world but it is pretty good). I am seeing the best graphics with no lag. :)

When I first got the game I had to use my built in Vid Card - it worked well, and didn't actually look TOO bad...

With my ATI 512 MB Card though - it is amazing :D Too bad the ATI card crashes so much with every update I have to keep removing it until they fix the issues... :( Even now though they did get most problems with the v2-3 updates there are a few issues...

But if / when you can - check out the high res, even for a short time just for the look :)

Yeah, I did like the higher graphics and stuff. When ur sailing the Ghost ships are constantly blazing lightning. Sometimes it gets confusing though cause I cant tell if the crew tagged it or not lol.

The green smoke always comes up when undeads die and respawn ;)
