Release Notes - May 15 2008

• Added new French and Spanish skeletons. French skeletons can be found on Isla Cangrejos and Spanish skeletons can be found on Cutthroat Isle. New French and Spanish skeleton ships can be found sailing around Isla Cangrejos and Cutthroat Isle, respectively. The new skeleton types are as follows:
  • French:
    • French Undead Maitre
    • French Undead Quarter Master
    • French Undead Lieutenant
    • French Undead Capitaine
  • Spanish:
    • Spanish Undead Conquistador
    • Spanish Undead Bandido
    • Spanish Undead Pirata
    • Spanish Undead Captain
• Added two new islands to the world:
  • Isla De La Avaricia
  • Ile D'Etable De Porc
• Adjusted the placement of Mother's day tattoos
• Added new ship sinking cutscenes
• Added a minimum system requirements check to the Game launcher. The minimum system requirements can be found here. Please let us know if you are getting false alerts about your machine not meeting the minimum system requirements, are getting them too frequently, or the “don’t show me again” checkbox isn’t respected.
• Added an in-game feedback form. When using this form, please be as specific as possible. Please note that you will not receive any feedback from support using this form (click here for technical support). The feedback form button icon is a question mark and can be found in two places:
  • On the options menu
  • On the lower corner of the screen
• In an effort to improve the early in-game experience, we have re-launched welcome worlds. This is a scaled down instance of the Pirates world that a player plays in until they launch a ship for the first time. To help us test this new and exciting feature, create a new pirate and take them for a spin through the tutorial. Please let us know about any issues that you encounter during the tutorial.
• Fixed a fire effect that wasn't cleaning itself up properly
• Added some debugging for tracking down lingering issues with textures when using the DirectX9 graphics API.
• Fixed a bug that was preventing collisions with the masts of your ship once you had been on a cannon
• A new quest titled "Skeleton Infestation" will be given out by Orinda Le Jeune located on the Tortuga Docks

Cool, how do you get on the test server?

You had to be given a beta key before the game opened. Beta keys will be given out 'soon' (soon in POTCO's definition of the word - expect beta keys in January of 2156).

AWESOME 2 new armies 2 new islands and 2 new fleets of ships but thank GOSH they are on test and not open @_@ with vmk haveing not 1 but 2 MAJOR furniture releases in 1 day with most likely more to come i dotn have time for potco until aftre may 21st i suspect these updates will come to us in mid to late june as part of the "summer updates"

Wow, these updates are really cool. What would be cooler is if players could choose which side to back, Spanish or French. I would totally back up the Spanish. But that's just a guess, lol.

Finally we can board skeleton ships!

No No NO! If you are a beta tester, you live by the beta tester code "Thall shall not release new info or details of new game content to non fellow beta testers" in other words if your not a beta tester and you don't have access to the test server don't ask,don't tell...

Me personally since there was hints that the developers are looking at fan site's request sections and such and they happen to browse through here and find new game content that is not suppose to be found disney will probly cook up a way either find out who that person is and have him or her ban, or just have POF site shut down ( we don't want that to happen now do we? ). AS MUCH AS I WANA SEE AND KNOW I DON'T WANA RISK ANY ONE'S ACCOUNT! The stakes have just gotten higher.

POTCO is no longer in Beta testing.

Information from the test site on both Potco and Toontown has been posted over and over and it has never been cause for someone to be banned or problems for either site. As far as I know, once the game went to open, there were no issues with test info being discussed.

And on that note ...

The two new islands at this time have no critters/enemies on them - there is a tavern, a gunsmith and shipwright. I took some screenies but I'm not digging em up at this time of morning ...

Sailed for a little with friends and we took out some Spanish Hellhounds and a Spanish Crow something ... boarded all and they had a mixture of levels from 5 up. The Hellhound was a skel ship and we were able to board it.

I didn't notice any French ships but I only played for a bit. I'll try to find some pics to upload tomorrow but I know I have a full day, so I may not get to it till late.

Sounds like Fun!! Wish I couldve gotten the Beta Key. :(

This makes me wish I hadn't disregarded my Beta key when I got it. Then, of course, I had no intentions of playing the game :(
