claude d'arcis
 

i have the basic access version of the game.
it says to defeat claude d'arcis, who is disguised as a sergeant in the fort at port royal.
i've been to the fort, and all the sergeants are level 12+, I'm only a level 5.
also, i noticed on all the forums here, it says he can be found in the thieve's den or the tortuga graveyard.
where is he, really??

Any sargent will do the trick. Have a friend help you cause it might take a few sargents til "you find him.

I just did this very quest on my newest character, took 2 sergeants, in fort charles.

I imagine you could find him in the thieves den too (i know there are sargs' there, and the graveyard im not sure, i havent been there in ages to remember whats there)

It says to look in port royal, but then again, it does not tell you its requuired to get one from that place alone.
as for taking a sargeant, well you only need one hit to make it count as a kill, and fort charles is a busy place in most servers, so just find a few people around that level, ask for help, im sure a few people would be kind enough to lend a hand.

Just keep killing sergeants and you will find him
