In the description for grape shot is says effective only against crew ship pvp and sea monsters. also there is a quest in tortuga that says to defeat two sea serpents. these are not eitc boats. the eitc is sea viper:piratetongueor4:

also if u press ` or ~ it will bring a score card for ship pvp on the top of the screen still u let go of the button

yea there once was a ship pvp back in beta 1 but that was removed due to bugs we are hoping it will come out soon :)

i wish disney would not announce some things and surprise us sometimes (NO i dont mean the balance changes/bug fixes they do neglect to mention)

but like just throw in an easter egg or two, like a unique enemy only on a certain server or time, or something..

I have a feeling both are coming in game soon. As of the update in April, the ~ didnt do anything prior. Also with the sea serpent requests. Those werent in existence until Aprils update.

To get the Sea Serpent quest, who do I have to go to?

Josie, the Bartender at the Royal Anchor in Port Royal. You sometimes get different quests like kill 8 Urchinfists, but that's where my guildmates got the quest.

You have to be a specific lvl to get it. They wont send a lvl 3 out to kill sea serpents. I have yet to receive one yet, my pirates are either too high or too low I guess. Al I get are tormenta crew or lvl 7 thugs lol.

Yeah maybe, I tried a million times to get it on my lvl 40, and I kept getting just kill Molusks and Urchins, and I won't even test on my lvl 6. The lvl range for Sea Serpents might be between 29-39 or something like that.

I dont get it on hunter, shes 37. I have one now for 9 mullosks

Maybe people are just having random luck getting these Serpent quests, might not depend on lvl.....

Pirates at the range of lvl 30-35 have been receiving the quest. If you have already gotten the Tormenta crew quests, your probably above the sea serpents ones.

This has been discussed so many times, yes there are probably going to be seamonsters in the new update but they were going to bring them out sooner or later judging by the grapeshot desc and the mercenary quests.

i am level 27 and got this after going in and out of the menu several times to get this.

I got this quest and I am level 28. I got it from Johnny Mcvane and It was the first quest I ever got from him.

So I think it is just luck.

For the guy that still thinks this is just a rumor...
 

Here is a screenshot of my dad's noob pirate (left) and my pirate with the sea serpent quests in our journals. He already had his when I logged in, but when I went to get mine it came up the first try. He's got a level 40 pirate as well, but after trying for five minutes all I got for offers were Molusks or Seabeards.
