Game Updates ... What's New in the Caribbean?

In addition to the team's own thoughts, they have collected a bunch of your suggestions while scouring fan sites, feedback received from player surveys (you may have gotten one recently), and all the e-mails and comments that come in directly. All of this feedback is continually being pulled together and sets the direction for the game's future updates and enhancements.

Here are some recent enhancements that have hit the Caribbean based on your feedback:

• Unlimited Access Members now have access to an entirely new level of weapons, as well as a bunch of new quests to go along with them! You can also get your hands on brand-new ammo pouches, which allow you to carry more bullets, cannonballs, daggers, and grenades than before.

Basic Access players will have an opportunity to see more of the game - you will now have access to the Voodoo Doll and Light Galleon Ship.

But wait ... it gets even better ... we're also hard at work expanding the entire Caribbean for everyone. Stay tuned - there are more details to come!

Woot!! I can finally get my Sea pirate a light fleet!!! lol.

The totem for Kingshead? Is there any significant difference between the highest weapons you can purchase and the new quest weapons? Is it beneficial to still purchase weapons or is it better to just quest and get it for free?

The quested weapons are better than the purchased ones.

Im sure there are advantages to the purchased weapon upgrades over the given weapons, but as far as thier value would likely depend on the individual pirates playing style/needs. The quested weapons are all more powerful, than given/purchased ones.

Some info regarding pistol upgrades/advantages:

Purchaseable Double Barrel
Advantage over given pistol: 1/2 of the reloads
Purchaseable Triple Barrel
Advantage over given pistol: 1/3 of the reloads
Quested Heavy Triple Barrel:
Advantage over given pistol: 1/3 of the reloads, +1 damage

I think they're going to add those two islands with the Spanish and French skeleton guys from the story update they put up on the main site. Maybe they will be near the edges of the map, and they will play an important part in Ship PvP. :D

When can you quest for wepons?

The upgraded weapons quests show up in your journal when you achieve level 15 of the given weapon.

Like if you reach a level 15 pistol or cutlass?

Yes, for the upgraded weapons quests (not to be confused with the grenade quest which you receive at notoriety level 20).

When you get to level 15 pistol, you will receive the upgraded pistol quest. Works the same way for Cutlass, Dagger, Voodoo Doll, and Staff.

I do not know if there is a particular notoriety level requirement or not for the upgraded weapons quests.

I hope the "expansion" includes an island with high level enemies that can be teleported to...I'm getting tired of sailing to Tormenta. :tongue8:

I'd also like to see them do something with that door to nowhere on Padres.
