So and So is already a member of your crew....

I have this really annoying problem.. I wonder if other people get the same issue... When I click on someone to ask them to join my crew, I get a message saying that they are already in my crew.. but they're not... any ideas on how to fix this? any else have this problem?

I have had this issue repeatedly as most of what I do is crew up and sail, I just kept trying every now and then and eventually I got them crew'd

same thing happen to me i got dc while in a crew when i logged back in it syas they are already in my crew

Yea, gotta watch that - if they are in your crew then TP to someone else on a different server - then TP back to you - you can't crew them again.

Make sure they leave the crew before they TP away - then when they come back it's no problem (or at least its been ok for us since doing it that way :) )

arg they fixed this problem before the update now that they re did the crew now its back

I experience it everytime I try to get together a crew for the boss battle. :sadmh9:

This also is the response you get when you try to crew someone and they are already in a different crew.

I have this problem all the time. I would have a crew, after 15 mins, get booted, come back on, and when I recrew everyone, it says that they are already in. What I do the resolve this is make them leave the crew and everything is back to normal. Or very rarely, when I kick them out and reinvite them it works.

Well, if u were booted, the next highest notoriety will take crew leadership. They should be able to recrew u back in. No need to have everyone drop crew.

That's very useful to know, thanks Angel. :)

Thanks Angel, that is a big help!

I was pretty sure it was just the first person to click on RECRUIT new crew mates in the crew options thing. A couple tests show that Angel is correct.

The only time I ever see the correct "so and so is in another crew" message, is when that person is the head of their own crew. The rest of the time it gives the incorrect & misleading "already in your crew [remove] [cancel]" message.

Unlike "friend" requests that persist for a minute, crew dialogs simply vanish, when the person setting up crew moves on to the next person. The crew icon stuff helps a lot. Just remember to turn the icons off before launching a ship in SvS, or all your crew mates become easy targets for snipers. (On the beach, the icons are very, very helpful.)

This happens when the pirate you are recruiting has "buccaneer", "swashbuckler", or "pirate" as their name, and you already have one of those names listed in your crew. Also happens on your friends list. So there really isn't any way of getting around it until they get a name!

I believe if you have the pirate your trying to add, make sure to click "Leave Crew" in thier crew console, you can then crew them when this occurs. It may not make sense, but im pretty sure it works (clears whatever is confusing the game).

It means they're in a different crew
