Where are screenshots stored on a Mac?

I am having trouble finding the screenshot folder on my Mac. It's a Mac Pro running OS X 10.4.11. It says to go to the Pirates thing on the desktop, but thats just the game. Anyone got any ideas?

I know where they are on a PC, but not on a Mac. Sorry.

When I take screenshots on my mac it just shows up on the desktop. Are you using command+shift+3 to take your screenshots?

No, but I found out how to get them using F9. You right click on the application on the desktop, choose "Show Package Contents:, and root around a bit to find it. Thanks though, I will try that way.
