Angel 05-01-2008 07:41 AM

Ive got all quests started, just havent got around to completing one lol

Lilly Moonshine 05-01-2008 07:47 AM

I started them all but I did finish the Gun and the Voodoo Doll quests. I wish it wasn't down right now I'm in quest mode and ready to complete the rest :)

Twisted 05-01-2008 08:10 AM

LOL if you finished all of it in the same day you need to go for a jog or something... I got them all started but not even close to finishing. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to catch up to guildies! lol

I've started all quests at once, well the main ones for the weapons anyway. I'm not too bothered about quests for special tattoos.

I'm most of the way through the Caribbean Cruise quests (Or island hopping). If only each island had Duty Free I would be set up for Christmas.

Leon Sharkshot 05-01-2008 01:41 PM

Wow you're obviously more game savvy than I. I haven't finished 1.

Rackat 05-01-2008 03:01 PM

Finished the Pistol.
Started the Doll...but not too important to me since I am lv25.
Started the Staff Quest.
Started the Dagger Quest.

Started getting numb fingers after the 4th hour online and had to stop. :D

I started them all, but nowhere near finished.

What I'm doing is continuing a single quest as long as each step is "visit someone on some island I can teleport to". When it hits a "sail off someplace" or "kill x amount of y", I go to the next quest.

When everything's at either sail-to or kill, I start sailing and killing, because a lot of them overlap, and by doing one, I'm also doing another.

Seems to be working ok.

That's a great idea BP with the multiple quests at one time, I too found that out early on, and everyone should know it.

Fortunately for me, what keeps me going is my love of the ship combat. When I get to a quest that requires me to kill creatures, I do it fast cause I know after that it will be blowing ships up. When I have blowing ships up tasks I have a blast (PUN!). Then I have to steal or kill creatures, so I do that as quickly as possible to get back to ships. It keeps my pace pretty good in game.

Also, I'm more likely to ask for help killing creatures than ships. My creaturing killing skills are low, so I'm not that good at it lol. I have a 16 in cannon, and like a 10 in dolls, everything else is 8 or lower.

Yes. Biggest lesson I ever learned from ToonTown. Killing two (or three, or four) birds with one stone helps a lot. These lists are long, every little bit helps :)

And even if they don't overlap exactly (like both requiring EITC ships to be sunk), there are still many of them that can be completed in the same area. I was in Cutthroat Jungle working on 3 different quests- killing Large Gators, Fly Traps and Stumps just circling around while they regenerated. And then wandered over for some high level skeletons. If I was working through one quest at a time, I would get frustrated having already been there for the previous task.

But what to call it- multitasking or parallel questing?

And to add a non-sequitor, I think Cutthroat is a little like Walmart. You can find a little bit of everything there.

I prefer to think of it as "Target". LOL! :laughks2:

Parallel questing. I like that :)

Thats what my missus and I do. We quest together, that's why I am also running all the quests together. Sail from island to island, sink the ships, get the required monsters while there.
