New Quests!!!!!!! >_<
 

ok i am really mad right now these now quests come out and all of a sudden i cant sail, cant teleport bc every time i do that i crash! this has never happen before as a matter of a fact i have never crashed in this way before ever! not in the 6 months i have played i have a Dell Inspiron E1705 Brand new from xmas 06 with vista 2 gigs of memory and everything when im in the game i have NO lag i still have NO lag but i cant tp nor sail so im land locked on the island im on :( and it says my ship is still sailing when it isnt and the timers still going so im worried ill have to pay for a sunken War frigate if i dont fix this in an hour and my war galleon is like locked i cant even launch it >_<

Ouch, that does hurt. Try crewing with someone or do what I had to do. Jump on a friends ship, glitch off it and man your sails. I docked his one time for him when he had that issue.

Can't sail either, everytime I try..."Pirates of the caribbean has encountered a problem and needs to close"..Like you chris before the patch this was not an issue for me at all.

OH YAY! now i learned i need to kill about 100 things with my pistol only 1 problem my pistol no longer fires!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have switched bullets switched weaqpons switcfhed oceans and even logged off and back on!!!

Ouch...looks like they need some serious bug repair.:skull:

Funny you mention that - I haven't played test or open for a while because of real life, but just started playing test again last couple of days. I'd be in the middle of fighting something and my pistol would quit firing. Yes, I had ammo, yes the batteries in my keyboard were working. I also tried using mouse to scroll through the weapons or to fire - that didn't work either.

I tried switching to another weapon, nothing, tried everything I could think of to get it to fire again and NOTHING worked. It was as if all the buttons to control weapons were turned off. I had to log out and back in to get them to work again. This happened to me a couple of times yesterday and also today.

I hit all the F keys to see if it would switch weapon, tried switching ammo and got no repsonse, but if I hit a letter key, say M for map, it worked. I'm not sure if this is a problem on POTCO or something on my end ... but it's annoying.

Anyone else had anything similar lately?

I have nearly the same system/configuration, and have had no problems whatsoever.

Groggy indicator looked different, almost 'incomplete'. I did notice that they moved a number of the indicators for the skills (ie full sail, ramming speed, etc), they no longer show above my health/voodoo meters, but show underneath them now instead. Just the few things other than items to purchase, and the new quests that i've noticed so far.

They probably should adjust this to allow Guild members as well as friends/crew.
Unfortunately im figuring you cant TP to just a friend on the ship either, so once a ship sails, no extending the crew other than with Captain's friends.

Chirs don't worry i had the same problem but i fixed it. I went on live chat support gave them some info o a bug report and they said my drivers were out of date because with the new expansion it involves something that your drivers have to be up to date. Just update them and u should be good to go. It worked for me.

If you got vista hit Start-Control Panel-Hardware and Sound-Then under device manager click update device drivers. Hit continue, then theres a bunch of options under display adapters should be ur video/graphics card. click that then it should say update or search for update, It will automatically update after u click that then ur game should work. If u have XP then idk what to do but it should be fairly similar to that process.
