Thought For Monday.....

There is a direct correlation between the number of children at a birthday party to the bottles of rum needed to regain sanity...........

LOL.

School = Headaches
Your mom yelling at you saying to "Wake up!" = Throbbing eardrums
DOING school = Bad finger cramps
Thinking "Aww...It's Monday again..." = Slight loss of sanity
Thinking of all the reasons Monday is terrible = Me shaking in my boots just thinking about it
Monday finally being over = Priceless

D'you think I should start a thread about this?

Chris 04-29-2008 01:20 AM

thought of me today

wonder whats in the schools meat no wait on second thought dont answer that i still have like 20 days left of eating.....

Bilgepump 04-29-2008 10:56 AM

What I think is hilarious is that you guys have it made right now, and don't even know it.

Wait til you're out of school and have to get up every day and go to work. Barefoot. In the snow. Uphill both ways.

Get off my lawn!

The Beautiful Letdown 04-29-2008 04:32 PM

I would rather go to work than go to school because at least your getting paid. And half the stuff we learn in school we don't even really need to know, and will most likely learn in college.

Yes, you will get paid, but you will also need to pay for health insurance, dental, maybe vision. Let's not forget rent, , mortgage, insurance for that. Then you need to eat and such, so now you have food, utilities. Now, to get back and forth to that job. Need a car, fuel, maintenance, insurance...

What have I forgotten? Oh, how about furnishings and appliances? Like watching TV? Well, you'll need satalite or cable. Let's not forget the cost fo internet access, if you like broadband, that will cost you too. Hmmm..... Oh yeah, now that you're on your own, isn't it great that you can stay up as late as you want and do whatever you want? Sure it is, until you drag your backside into work 2 hours late and find yourself without a job to pay for the aformentioned.

So, what Bilge was trying to express, I believe, is that you should enjoy life while you have some freedom. Moving out on your own is not as liberating an experience as you might think it to be.

Loot Hard!

Can't forget taxes! Some of these kids would be surprised to see how much the actual take home pay is.

Amen to that! And like he said, yeah you can stay up late but you have to drag yourself out of bed in the morning if you want to get paid.

Silver Beard 04-29-2008 06:06 PM

Learn in college? I've been in college for 8 semesters now and haven't learned anything yet that I didn't already know - except that just because people are in college doesn't mean they're adults!

Just because you go to college = Doesn't mean you learn much
