A few changes are on the horizon in the Caribbean - thanks to all the great feedback you continue to provide. Here is a sneak peek at some of the updates you'll be seeing in the game shortly:

Crew & Morale:

  • Crewing will be made easier due to added functionality in the Crew Panel. You'll also be able to let others on your server know you're looking for a crew, and receive a bigger bonus for crewing up.
  • Need to pick up your or your crew's morale? Soon Tonics will recharge faster. Are you or another crewman a bit groggy from a recent stay in jail? No need to worry - you'll be ready to join the fight a whole lot sooner, as we'll be shortening the groggy penalty.

In addition to these updates, we've also improved player communication, specifically, the whisper function. More details on this and other features (including brand-new Quests) coming soon!

i know this is similar to the test release notes however this is for open

They need to update the news more often. It's almost been a month since they last posted an announcement

They really should. But what would they update on? They won't always find a fix to a problem you know, it takes time. :D

I like the bit about letting people know when you need a crew. Something similar is on a game I used to play (Puzzle Pirates, actually) and it was so useful, I wondered why POTC didn't have something like that already

I do believe the being left behind when your crew boards a flag is due to the capacity of the flag ship. You cant fit 12 crew members on a war sloop, so someone has to stay behind.

I mean not like everyday. It would be nice if they post news once every week.

The MMO definition of changes occuring 'soon':

"Now. You're looking at now sir, everything that happens now is happening now."

"What happened to then?"

"We passed it."

"When?"

"Just now."

"We're at now-now."

"Go back to then."

"When?"

"Now."

"Now?"

"Now!"

"I can't."

"Why?"

"We missed it."

"When?"

"Just now."

"When will then be now?"

"...Soon."

Yea, that was in spaceballs when they put in the Spaceballs video to watch and see what to do next. Great dialogue.
