I just started playing about 2 days ago. So far, it has been great. Still learning new stuff about the UI daily. I know there are guides here, but I was wondering if people could post their ideas of where to spend points (when leveling up pistol / cutlass / etc) and give some reasoning why. For instance, get all the first ranks of new abilities in pistol, then make sure the last ability is maxxed, or for cutlass, have heavy dmg on the front of combo attacks since you are more likely to land these blows. I like hearing different peoples ideas and trying out different things before deciding.

Also I've read of the boss battle . . . is this more than one occurance, if this is a one time take back the pearl event, is that when you get to become a dead pirate? Do any items in game give bonus's? Such as pistols that increase accuracy, do upgraded voodoo dolls alone cause more damage? Thanks in advance for the welcomes and responses.

Oh, and after 2 days, I'm a note lvl 10. I have the voodoo doll, only task I have now is working on taking back the pearl, which I assume is the long running task in game.

boss battle is repeatable as long as u are helping others

black pearl quest is fairly long but dont stress dont try to compleat is all at once your noto will lvl too fast and your weapons will be left behind
