Help with the grenade quest...
I was helping someone with grenades and I wandered over towards the edge and found a door that I don't remember being able to open before...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2306/...3f0bb4ea35.jpg And inside there were 4 of each container type and they all seemed "searchable". This would make the grenade quest go much easier and also gives you a room to duck in to regain some health. It's a bit tricky to get to (usually a Veteran and an Officer are close enough to attack if you go for it and a Thug who will usually just stand there) but once you're inside... EDIT--- Never mind apparently they don't help-see one of the replies below. It's still a good room for hiding for a few. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3192/...1bf0e78cc4.jpg Note: the lower portion of the room doesn't have any stairs but if you jump on the crate, you can jump out from there. |
Aye, good to know though I have my grenades. Instead of logging off, I had the crazy idea of changing worlds instead. Just change worlds then teleport back to your friend. 1 less load screen.

This room has been available for some time now. Back when I was questing for 'nades, i checked every one of those crates and barrels. Not a single one was good for the quest. It does make me wonder what they planned or are planning for the room.
Loot hard! |
I'll admit when I did the greanade quest, I didn't do a whole lot of looking around, (just wanted to get it done and get the heck outta there!) so it's no wonder I didn't see this room. :) May just head there on my big pirate now just to check it out. Groovin!

I call that the Pit Room at Kingshead, and I think it would be a fine meeting space for large groups. I think your primary speaker takes the box in the pit, and his or her 2nd in command takes the one crate to the north. A door guard takes the crate to the west, and the 2 crates to south are for people being temporarily "given the floor" (you may need to post placeholders there if you have problems with "gate-crashers"). Then, put your remaining officers along the eastern ledge.
With that set up, there are at least 3 distinct levels for the text of overhead bubbles, and the primary speaker is in between the bottom 2. Interestingly, there's a nice spot for the officers to meet before the meeting in a round tower overlooking the hill leading up to the town level (unfortunately, you can't quite see the door itself; you can see people if they reach the bottom of the slope up to the town level). I call that upper tower the Rooke's Nest (my character's last name). |
