Man O Flag Around Padres
 

had a few problems with the Man O War Flagship around Padres tonight. First time, it sunk as soon as we grappled it. Second time the world flipped and then the top half of screen went blue, bottom half black. Next thing I know, we land in jail, but I can't see anything because everything is black. I hear that I can draw my weapons, that the chat works, and that the other things such as bringing up the map and whatnot work from the sounds, but I can't see anything. I was able to hit f7 and log off then got right back on. But some of my guild mates still can't connect to the game. Has this happened to anyone else there before? And of course, it has to be right in the middle of our Plunder Night. Go fig. :degen:

Ive had that happen a few times when I go to board a flag. I end up in jail everytime!

Yea - the grapple glitch - no loot - jail time... its all bad. I hate the flagship sink bug also - painful to watch them sink then getting kicked off the wheel (the whole wheel thing though is part of the programming for a sucessful boarding call though - as far as I've figured out so far - its like it knew you got it, wants to give you the boarding option - so it kicks you off the wheen then resets).

I've had it happen 3 times, and in all three it has been because someone grabbed the wheel and started to pull away from the grappled ship when I was about to hit the "board" button. Never had it happen any other times.

The sinking grapple I have seen a couple times too. The lines stay in the water until it is removed from the game, but I have not died with that one.

I know the first thing can happen if you used Firebrand on a flagship.

Nope, we all know enough not to use fire since the game's so picky as to when it wants to glitch or not. The flags were simply acting weird that night, always slingshotting away, and then this happened.

Sooo, it's not just me, good to know.

Happens so much to me that I don't go for flags very much anymore.

And if you want to hear a sad story: try having the Colossus Flag slingshot around you then sink while getting kicked off the wheel and your ship sinking.... that's when you wonder:

"Is it worth my time to even log out & back in again?"
