pistol rep: me and a friend
 

so today after the double rep we were both leveling pistols. we are both level 36 and both hitting the same guys in tormenta. everytime even on a lvl 30 brine i would get 100 and he would get 60. we would do the exact same combonation. 4 or 5 hex then kill them with the number 1 shot. i even have a higher level pistol, why is that happening, obviously i love it but he was pretty mad that i was leveling way faster.

There is likely a subtle difference that you're not considering. You both have the same pistol levels, you both have the same notoriety levels, and you're both using hex eater to take away the voodoo of the mobs; however, how are you killing them from there?

I have 15 Pistol, and I can decide whether I want high rep or low rep for most mobs. The gist of it is that I have Rank 3 shooting, and Rank 3 Lead Shot, but using those give me low rep (but fast kills). On the other hand, I only have 1 in Take Aim; I can use that by releasing just as the bar flashes on the screen, or at least while it is still at "1 bar" worth of aiming. Milking Take Aim generates substantially more rep per mob, for me (due to my point distribution).

I think it's nice to have such options in pretty much every skill; although, I don't think it really matters that much for "battle jogging (aka Voodoo Doll);" and, overall, the sea-skills don't suffer as much from diminishing returns as the land-skills do

Depends on how his attacks are skilled. If his are more powerful, he gets less reps

there the same. we both only have 1 on lead and after hexing them we kill them with just lead. i dunno i was just kinda intrigued

But do both of you have the exact same level in Hexeater, Take Aim and Shooting?
Do you both have tri-barrel guns? Consider EVERY variable.

One thing i wanted to point out is that members with basic acces recieve 40% less rep. This isnt the case though Im sure. or is it?
