Easy Cannon Reputation
 

This is a tactic me and my friend figured out yesterday during the double reputation day. The way this game works the more hits you do the more rep you get, well i figured out a way to exploit this for cannons, Hitting the sails counts towards hits on the ships! Just get a friend to take a ship out and let you cannon a large ships sails with regular cannonballs for a few seconds then sink it with broadsides and boom, easy cannon rep :laughks2:.

really???? that's awesome, gotta remember that. would broadsides going through the sails count too then?

Or try this too. Get on any war frigate. Hit a ship so it starts coming after you. When it gets 1/2 way to you. (Based on the compass being zoomed out all the way.) Throw your ship in reverse. The enemy ship will never gain on you. Your crew can use the front cannons to blast away the sails at close range. I prefer to do this in the Huntress Seas. (All phantom ships.) Anyone who takes out the sails first will get 100-110 rep. I did this at lvl 24 cannon and still got 110 rep.

Yep, only drawback with this is it takes longer to get the rep. So it turns it into a bit of a grind.

But still, if your after easy rep :P

Hitting sails HAS always been a bit easier than hitting the hull in general...
