Can't shut off fullscreen

Alright, now I'm really getting ticked off. I had to reinstall PiratesOnline because of computer problems (nothing to do with the game), and now when I try to turn off fullscreen display, the screen goes black. I've sent in a bug report and tried to find an answer through live chat. Live chat made me wait for like 15 minutes while he "looked up the bug report" - well, I couldn't sit there forever. I had to leave. And the bug report got the SAME response as always: latency. Nothing is ever wrong with the game, according to Disney's experts; it's always latency in my Internet connection. And for this they charge $10 a month? I never had trouble with shutting off fullscreen before, and all the other options appear to be working. Gee, I'm glad to know Disney had nothing to do with it....

I don't know if this will work for you but someone suggested on this board to do this:
make gamma your default and save. I then closed out and brought it back up and it was the screen size I wanted. It is somewhere on the board that had asked the same question and someone gave the answer on how to do it. Very short and sweet. Hope it works for you. Kani

F7 has no effect - I can't see anything! I tried the gamma thing too, but it didn't seem to help, either. But thanks anyway.

That's what I expected from Disney. I've had problems with other games, even with setting up an Internet connection, and every time, I've gone to technical support for whichever company, and they'd say, well, you need to go to you settings and change this, and change that. Sometimes it takes a couple tries, but it eventually fixes the problem. The first time I went to Disney's live chat, the woman said I had to submit a bug report first. The second time - after I'd submitted the bug report - the man said he was going to "look it up" and left me sitting there for almost 15 minutes. I had no idea it would take sooooo long. I had to leave to pick up my kid, he wouldn't answer me. So I closed the chat window and left.

This sounds to me like a common problem. I'm guessing reinstalling the game changed the settings. Live chat ought to know how to deal with it, or at least ought to have some suggestions. Isn't that what they're there for?!

You may want to try the suggestion I made in http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ead.php?t=3714. Good Luck.
