Purpose of treasures

Is there really a purpose other than to give players an incentive to keep playing after they finish a quest?

Another thing I wish they would do is show what cards I have. I mean, I can see what valuables etc I have, but can't see what cards i've collected (other than at the Poker/Blackjack table, which takes too much time).

They dont make me want to keep playing.....My big pirate is fully mastered n still missing some.

Pirate Rose 04-10-2008 02:19 PM

Yes, the treasure collections serve no real purpose. But on the good side, everytime you plunder one (whether you already have it or not), you get 25 notoriety rep :)

As for the cards, I do not know of a way to see all your cards unless you're sitting at a table and have clicked cheat. :(

You get rep for plundering something you already have? I knew you got extra gold, but didn't know about that...

Loot Hard!

Well, that's also because you get Notoriety rep for completing quests as well.

Thanks for the input, but I have yet to even go to Tortuga to see Jack and get the stupid pop-up every time I log in.

I thought you could sell your treasures when you've collected them all. Did this change?

AdmiralSavvy 05-10-2008 02:33 AM

I don't think they ever let you sell treasures, unless it was in Beta at some point. If so, then they changed it where you can't sell treasures.

Swash 06-23-2008 05:01 PM

some people said its too get kingshead tp access but i e-mailed them they said kingshead tp access does not exist at this point but might be added in a future update

League 06-24-2008 02:52 AM

Kingshead TP access would be helpful at notoriety 19 or so, don'tcha think?

No, you get its value in gold at the moment you find it.
