Do You Think Desolation is Worth Having on Voodoo Staff?
 

I have had comments on people thinking that Desolation is just a novelty Hex. Is this true? :skull:

it WAS devastating with the now fixed staff instant cast glitch. wiped out the vet squad in a single hit, as well as mid to upper level 20s groups were instant one hit kills upwards of 2000+ damage fully maxxed. it was the PERFECT ship boarding attack, soon as you landed, unleashing it, having my crew say omg how u do that so fast?? as the entire enemy crew was wiped out in literally 3 seconds flat.

however using at the way disney intended it, its worthless, the casting time is simply too long, it should be an extremely fast casting speed as they already even it out with a LARGE voodoo and health drain, the cast time as is, makes a player rather use flame skull/wither a few times for the same effect, much less voodoo drain and no health penalty.

so yeah id say its a novelty as is, a devastating attack no doubt, but for the penalty and cast time, id rather just use something else unless disney seriously thinks about changing the casting speed.

Aw, comeon, you gotta get at least one point on it. I use ot when I go to PR and have all the noobs annoyin me. Bring out the Desolution and it shuts them up!! Defunately worth the fun factor :)

i always unlock ever skill but once i read it takes away your life i was like @_@ im still going to unlock it though

It takes half your life, but the fun factor, is worth it lol.

I maxed desolation, and one hit empties most flagships; I just wish I had maxed casting speed, which I will on my other pirates. :mybadki6::mybadki6:

im not so sure on the casting speed though, i did and it didnt put much of a dent in desolation casting speed (about 2-3 seconds), id rather just max the hex and staff damage if i could do it again., so by the time it does work, it has a damage boost as well.

I do like the staff damage as it works not only with staff but doll too. That and why skill up one skill when you can do all at one shot?

I just got my staff yesterday. I love it and guarrantee u try to get it asap

Nope not worth it I only put one point on it and the first time i used it it killed me

i only have one point in it and i agree that it's a great novelty but not that great in battle. perhaps maxed out i might see better results.

one question though...if it drains your health points when using it does it also drain helth points of pirates the immediate area as well?

i don't use it enough to remember if it does. If it did however...boy talk about a fun way to get rid of low level rep stealers, stowaways, etc etc:laughks2:

No i dont think it does but that would be a good way to get rid of them
