Voodoo doll quest bugged
 

I am wondering how to get my voodoo doll
Tia keeps saying "there is somewhere else you need to be"
as if in the middle of a quest does anyone remember
the exact steps to getting the voodoo doll?
as in go to Cuba talk to Tia she sends you to .....

Get the stuff for your foll. Pitch, twine, skellys, etc. I dont remember exactly. I can get on my small pirate and see if he can get the quest for it later.

Are you a free member? If so then that's your problem. Only Unlimited members are allowed to have the other weapons. Sorry bout that.

I'm sorry to still hear of you struggles. I started working my second pirate (first one level 40 with everything mastered) and got and completed the Voodoo doll quest yesterday so it is working with no issues.

There is nothing about the title of this post that says you are an unlimited member. And as the free accounts are given the voodoo doll quest (but it's locked, so they can't actually start it) it was a reasonable question to ask.

So tone down the snark, OK?

That said, the "there is somewhere else you need to be" response is what she says when you haven't completed the quest. What does your quest journal say you need to do? If it says all the steps are complete, then you will probably have to submit a bug report.

Tia also informs you that you need to be elsewhere if you haven't reached the proper level to get the quest. What level is your pirate? If you are the level you need to be, take it up with Disney (but I'd watch the snark with them, too...way rude, we're just trying to help mate)

You could have just said 'sorry should have mentioned that I'm unlimited lvl 25.' Why bring the attitude? Flies, honey, etc. As far as your doll quest, why don't you provide us with exactly what is in your journal (hotkey to bring it up is J) and tell us what the last line under your doll quest says, as well as the description in the window. I know this may not classify as 'help' since I'm not 'providing you with information' but you know, doctors don't just tell people what's wrong with them, they ask questions too, so if you could just provide that information, I can have a starting place to look into your problem.

If you respond with an attitude other than apologetic from what you've already said, then don't worry about checking this thread for a helpful response.

Try this.

Hit "J" to pop up your quest journal.

Look for the VOODOO DOLL UNLOCK quest.

If it says anything but "Return to Tia Dalma", then try doing that.

I got my voodoo doll with a free basic access account.I was also able to level it up to a seven before I was cut off on level ups.You can complete the mission with a free basic access account and I think it's around level 9 or 10 Tia gives you the doll with a free account.I didn't upgrade full access membership until I maxed out all my level ups to every weapon.Anyways anyone can have a voodoo free or paid.Your limited to
3 spells with free though.

This was changed with POTCO updates at the end of April. Prior to that, the Voodoo doll quest was not made available to Basic members. This thread, was started prior to that update.

The truth of the matter is that there was NO bug with the voodoo doll quest.

The only bug I think was in the original posters attitude.

OK Here goes. Those basic accounts prior to April, also unlocked the doll on them. My ban pirate has a doll or is doing the quest now. She had to go to the fort and search the crates and barrels. Once returned to Tia, she had to get a lot of bone dust and enemies essences. He said he is lvl 25 unlimited now and still dont have his doll....Either way he should have the quest.

My suggestion is to issue a bug report daily and see what that gets you. Have you done any part of the quest at all? If not, go to the fort in Port Royal and try searching the crates and barrels there to see if they let you search.
