Proposed New Terminology
 

I was sailing around today, and my six year old daughter was watching over my shoulder.

I get into a fight with some ship, and start doing some evasive maneuvers to avoid cannonballs.

She pipes up with "Last night, my brain told me that when you move to keep from getting hit by cannonballs, that's called BOAT KARATE."

Henceforth, I shall no longer engage in evasive maneuvers. Instead, I shall do boat karate. Because it just sounds so much cooler.

I can' wait to yell "Do some boat karate!" to my next captain.

She pronounced it kah-rah-tay instead of kah-rah-tee.

No idea where she got that.

Does she watch Spongebob Squarepants? That's how he pronounces it sometimes :P :rabbitdance:

I call it Artful Dodging, after my craft and titled name. Boat Karate is cool too though.
